Ginger Lynn - An Unlikely Porn Star
If there's one porn star who has mixed feelings about her career it would be Ginger Lynn. Despite having what could only be called a tremendously successful career in the industry of her choice, this adult actress is cautious in her advice to any women thinking of following her trail:
"I would never advise any girl to get into the business," says Ginger Lynn. "It changes your whole life. Even if you're a good person it doesn't matter because everyone out there is thinking, "God, you're a porno star."
Born in December of 1962, Ginger Lynn Allen rose to stardom in the 1980's, scooping a host of awards. Among her awards, Ginger Lynn has won XRCO 1984 Starlet of the Year, FOXE '92 All Time Fain Favorite, and AVN's Best Starlet award in 1985.
From Ordinary Beginnings. Her working life started out in the most ordinary of jobs. She was working as a record store assistant and had a regular boyfriend. But she yearned for something more - and a lot more money! Her career in the porn business began when she answered an advert in the local paper looking for models.
Some test shoots got her into Penthouse and soon after she was earning around $150 a day. But 3 months later she wanted to do something more. Hardcore shoots and sex videos kept her busy from then on. And in what is probably the most prolific 9 months of any porn star's life, Ginger Lynn then completed a staggering 45 sec flicks in that time.
Hard Times. But in 86 Ginger was disillusioned with the business and tossed in the towel. Unfortunately at this time she got into drugs and ran up astounding shopping bills. Often spending upwards of $10,000 a day at the mall. But she pulled herself together and even took acting classes. The hard work paid off and she landed some mainstream acting roles, even appearing in Young Guns 2.
